
2026 Paddle Europe Slalom Masters Championships
The Paddle Europe Slalom Masters Championships in Canoe Slalom will take place on July 10–11, 2026 in St. Ruprecht ob Murau, Austria. This special event is open to all paddlers aged 35 and above who want to share their passion for canoe slalom with like-minded athletes and test themselves in competition.
Whether you are an experienced competitor or participating in an international race for the first time, everyone is warmly welcome. The European Masters Championships not only offer exciting races on a challenging slalom course but also the chance to become part of an international canoeing community.
The event emphasizes fair play, enjoyment of the sport, and creating an unforgettable experience for all participants.

Sankt Ruprecht ob Murau is a charming village in the Murau district of Styria, central Austria, located in the scenic Murtal valley. Known for its proximity to the Kreischberg ski resort (approx. 6 km away) and as home to the Styrian Wood Museum, it offers year-round recreational activities, including skiing, hiking, and nature-focused experiences in the surrounding Lower Tauern mountains.

Preliminary Schedule for the 2026 Paddle Europe Slalom Masters Championships: Please note that this is a provisional schedule and may change depending on the number of entries.
- 13:00–14:30 – Friday, 1st Session: All C2 plus + guest starts
- 15:00–16:30 – Friday, 2nd Session: C2 Mixed + guest starts
- 09:00–12:00 – Saturday, 1st Session: K1 Men + C1 Women
- 12:30–14:30 – Saturday, 2nd Session: C1 Men + K1 Women
- 15:00–16:30 – Saturday, 3rd Session: All Team Events
Training will likely be possible on Friday until around 10:00 AM. Please be fair and leave the Friday training slots to those who are unable to arrive earlier.

PRINCIPLES
All slalom paddlers aged 35 and over are warmly invited to compete in the 2026 Paddle Europe Slalom Masters Championships. No qualification is required—anyone can register directly to participate.
Entries for this event need to be registered via the form on the web side: IES.memosoft.app
Please ensure that no duplicate entries are registered for C2 and the team races. It is sufficient if a participant submits the entries for a team. Please provide a self-assessment of your performance to help us determine the starting order. We also invite you to share your career highlights so our commentator can provide engaging and detailed coverage of your race.
Changes can be made afterwards, including adding or updating team entries.

Liability and Insurance
Participation in the event is at the participant's own risk. The organizer assumes no liability for accidents, injuries, or damage to equipment. Participants are responsible for their own insurance coverage.
PARTICIPANTS CLASSES
Individual: The competition program includes the
following events: Canoe Slalom Individual:
MK1 = Men's Kayak Single
WK1 = Women's Kayak Single
MC1 = Men's Canoe Single
WC1 = Women 's Canoe Single
MC2 = Men's Canoe Double
WC2 = Women
's Canoe Double
XC2 = Mixed Canoe Double
Age groups: 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54,
55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+ (age by 31.12.2026)
A minimum of 3 boats need to be entered for
the category to compete. If less than 3, those entries will be added to a
younger age group.
Teams: Canoe Slalom Team: MK1, WK1, MC1, WC1, XC2
If there are three or more Teams from at
least two nations in which all team members are 55 or older, a separate race
will be held.
Scoring Rules:
For all individual races, there will be two runs, and the better run
will count for the final result. For the team races, there will be one
run each.
BRING YOUNGSTERS, RELATIVES & FRIENDS
There are guest races for women and men, in the Junior (U14, U16, U18) and Senior (U35) categories and as well for non-European Athletes in each age categorie. Guest races can be entered in all categories of the Masters races, but since all guest races take place at the beginning of the event, it will probably not be possible to start in multiple categories.
PARTICIPANTS FEE
The registration fee not only allows you to participate in the Paddle Europe Slalom Masters Championships, but also entitles you to a starter goodie, water safty on the race and participation in an official party on Saturday evening.

ACCOMMODATION
Camping is permitted directly at the race course for tents, caravans, and motorhomes at a rate of €5 per person per day (4. - 12. July).Please note that the ground is on a slight slope; we strongly recommend bringing heavy-duty leveling ramps or wooden blocks. A few level areas will be reserved specifically for tents. Please be aware that while toilets are available on-site, there is only one showers and a very limited number of power outlets.

TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES
The course will be available for free training for all participants from July 4 to July 9. Depending on the number of entries, it may also be available on the morning of July 10. No reservation is necessary or possible.
The organizer will set the gates for training and change them regularly. Training is at your own risk, and no water rescue service will be provided.

PHOTO, VIDEO, AND DATA PROCESSING
The organizer is entitled to take photographs and video recordings during the event and to use, reproduce, publish, and distribute such material in which participants may be identifiable, for the purposes of event coverage, public relations, documentation, and promotion of the event, in all media formats (including print, online, and social media), without entitlement to compensation. By registering for the event, participants expressly consent to such use.
Furthermore, participants consent to the collection, storage, and processing of their registration data for all necessary actions in accordance with ICF rules, including, in particular, the publication of start lists and result lists on the internet.
EVENT COMMUNICATION
For communication between the organizer and the jury, as well as among the participants, two WhatsApp groups have been set up. The link to the groups can be found in the bulletin.

VENUE OF THE COMPETITION
The canoe slalom course set on a natural river offers an authentic and dynamic racing environment. The course featured a beautiful wide riverbed, allowing for a diverse range of gate placements and creative course designs.
The water depth is consistently sufficient, ensuring safe and fair racing conditions for all competitors.
The difficulty of the course corresponds to Whitewater grade 2-3.
